About me
I live in a few worlds, some intertwined with one another. My life is wrapped up in the worlds of dance, creation, sport science, research, and a whole lot of play. I currently live in London, England where I am studying my masters in Dance Science with a focus in research of dance specific training and injury. I also teach pilates, and practice as a fascial stretch therapist in my new home in South London.
I grew up in Qualicum Beach, a small town on Vancouver Island on the West Coast of Canada. Between 2015 and 2024 I lived in Vancouver, graduated with a BFA in dance and minor in Kinesiology, began dancing as a freelance artist and collaborating Clala Project. Dance has been an underlying passion and driver for my life in many ways. My work is collaborative, researching how dance can fit with other artistic mediums in irregular performance spaces. As well, I am interest in the technical elements of functionality, efficiency, and physical capacities. I produce work, create, perform, and direct in contemporary dance, multidisciplinary art, installation art, and fire performing.
I also spend my time learning, working, and researching movement of the human body, health, and injury management. I fell into a position as a Kinesiologist in 2021 and was ever humbled and interested by the interaction of pain, movement, and socialization. I train functional movement and pilates, and have a manual practice as a fascial stretch therapist. I continue down this path believing that building trust, comfort, and an educated understanding of our bodies can reduce physical and psychological stress.
